Ripples (2025) is a composition for double bass, tuning forks, a bowl of water, and electronics.
The composition consists of a series of miniatures that invite the performers to stretch them over time toward a point that aspires to infinity—where they will continue to resonate forever. The tuning forks mark the tonal center – a point of reference from which one can move away and return. The sound oscillates between center and periphery, between order and dissolution.A unit of time (a bar) in the composition is a circle. Its repetitive return can be meditative, obsessive, or an insistent attempt to break it or escape from it. Dwelling within it opens a space for process: disintegration or melting, acceleration or slowing down, distancing, change in sound texture, or an emotional movement of the performers. The circle is not a closure, but a rolling motion – an opening toward metamorphosis.

The composition was supported by the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts, Tel Aviv.
